About this site

This web site is dedicated to a topic that is often the cause of great controversy: gay Masons.

While most of the world’s Lodges and Grand Jurisdictions have no issue at all with having openly gay members there are a few Jurisdictions that are very intolerant of our gay Brothers.  Freemasonry is founded on certain principles of morality and justice.  The Craft strives to teach us to always practice Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth but the Lodges and Jurisdictions that practice intolerance based on a man’s innate sexual orientation continually violate the True Principles of Freemasonry by teaching hate, prejudice, and hypocrisy.

It is not our intention to denigrate the fraternity in any way.  On the contrary, we are motivated by an overwhelming affection for Freemasonry.  Therefore it is for the good of the Craft that this site is created.

The primary goals of this site are:

  1. To expose hypocrisy and intolerance in Freemasonry wherever it is found
  2. To celebrate and honor individuals or Lodges that promote tolerance and acceptance of all men
  3. To educate the Brethren about the facts surrounding these important issues
  4. To serve as a source of encouragement and support for Brethren who might be suffering persecution because of being gay

It is, perhaps, worth stating that only a few of the Brethren involved in publishing this site are gay.  The majority are, in fact, straight Freemasons that believe in the equality of all men and wish to support their gay Brothers.
